Announced earlier this week that Ilia Topuria it's your brother Alexander Topuria would no longer be part of the 'Climent Brothers' academy that was responsible for guiding them in their careers up until now, Jorge Climent went public to confirm the athletes' separation. Without any hard feelings or resentment, the former coach explained what led to the surprising decision.

“It’s real. He went to live in Madrid, and I have my own project here with my brother. Ilia (went) to Madrid. He (has) his own gym in his house and wants all the energy on him. We don’t work out together anymore. He goes on his own, and we are on (ours). You always feel that this is not good for the sentimental feeling, but that’s life. We accompanied him on the journey and now he’s grown up and wants to fly away, you know? We are very proud of him. We are very proud of everything he (has done)”, declared Jorge in an interview with Submission Radio.

“Of course we are a little sad, but I want everything in his life to go well. I wish him and his brother all the best, and I think they do the same for us. I don’t know what will happen in the future. We have our own direction at the moment. We love your brother. We know he will beat everyone he fights because he is the best. He will always be like our son,” he concluded.

The news generated great curiosity among many fans due to the short time that Topuria will have to prepare for the event scheduled for June 28, which takes place on UFC 317 where the lightweight title fight (up to 70,3kg) will take place against Charles of the Bronx.
