Former UFC fighter reveals unusual story in which Jon Jones was his 'cupid' at a nightclub in Mexico

In addition to his great fighting talent, Jon Jones also seems to have a gift for bringing couples together by chance. During a conversation with Kamaru Usman e Henry Cejudo, former UFC Mike Perry opened up and told how the heavyweight champion's attitude (up to 120,2 kg) was crucial in bringing him and his current wife together, after going to a nightclub in Mexico.

“I like Jon. I would call him a friend. I met my wife because of Jon. I was hanging out with Jon down in Albuquerque. I went to a fancy club in Mexico. Jon was teaching me some stuff (at the gym). I went out to hang out with him. Jon saw me come in, grabbed our hands and pulled us together. I picked her up and took her home,” Perry said in an interview with the Pound4Pound Podcast.

With no intention of returning to the octagon, 'Bones' went to the country to record a program with Nate diaz and even after the project was cancelled, the fighter chose to stay there.
