Maycee Barber speaks out after UFC Las Vegas 107 cancellation and hits back at rival

Without providing further details about the reasons for the cancellation, Maycee Barber apologized to the UFC for what happened.

Fans who were looking forward to the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 107, last Saturday (31), were surprised when, at the time of the fighters' entrance, it was announced that the fight had been canceled due to health problems of Maycee barber. One day after the incident, the fighter spoke out on social media.

Em publication on 'Instagram', the American, who would face her compatriot Erin Blanchfield, published photos and videos in which she appears being transported on a stretcher and monitored. In the caption, the fighter did not go into details about the health issues, thanked the fans for their support, and apologized to the organization and her opponent. Despite the apology, Barber responded to the harsh criticism coming from Blanchfield.

“This was not what I had planned for a Sunday post. Thank you all for your prayers and support. I owe an apology to the UFC (Mick Maynard, Dana White, Sean Shelby and Erin Blanchfield). Note: My life is not a mess, it was just a bad situation. We will resolve everything and be right back,” he wrote.

So far, no official statement from Ultimate or Maycee barber detailed the athlete's health issues, which led to the cancellation of the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 107. In an interview given shortly after the incident, Erin Blanchfield revealed that he heard from Hunter Campbell, director of the Ultimate, that his rival had suffered convulsions when entering the octagon.
