On the 28th of June, Charles of the Bronx e Ilia Topuria star in one of the most anticipated duels of the year, for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg), in the main fight of the UFC 317. Should any misfortune occur and one of the two need to cancel their participation in the event, however, Arman Tsarukyan is ready to spring into action.

In a press conference held after the victory over Patricky Pitbull in a grappling match, last Saturday (31), the first place in the lightweight ranking, who comes from a victory over Charles of the Bronx No. UFC 300, just over a year ago, offered himself as a reserve for the fight and guaranteed that he will be ready if called upon by the UFC.

“I don’t know if it will be necessary, but if they offer me, I will definitely step in as a backup. I will be ready. I am heading back to the States now and I will be there in case anyone gets hurt. If the UFC calls me, I will be ready and I will say yes,” Tsarukyan assured.

Arman Tsarukyan would fight for the lightweight belt in January, against Islam makhachev, but left the card of UFC 311 on the eve of the event due to an injury and ended up being replaced by Renato Moicano. Because of this, the Armenian feels he must take advantage of any opportunity granted by the organization and has made himself available as a reserve for next month's 'BMF' belt dispute, between Dustin poirier e Max Holloway, at UFC 318.

“I would definitely say yes. I need to take risks now. I got injured and my injury was misinterpreted. The doctor didn’t tell everyone what happened, so some people think I ran away from the fight. I need to get back on track, so I’ll do whatever the UFC asks me to do,” he concluded.
