Currently ranked 11th in the UFC featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), Jean Silva announced that the organization has finalized the details of his next fight. In a vlog recorded at the Fighting Nerds gym, the Brazilian showed euphoria upon confirming the agreement, but maintained strict secrecy regarding his opponent, date, and location of the fight.
During the video, Jean Silva highlighted Ícaro Brito, a rising star from Fighting Nerds, as a key player in the team's preparation. This observation, coupled with a comment from his teammate Carolina, who suggested the fight could position the Brazilian for the title, ruled out current champion Alexander Volkanovski as an immediate opponent.

“No, not yet (I'm going to reveal it). Ícaro is the same size as the guy, and if he were to imitate someone, he imitates that person very well. I think I have a fight in about a month. My godfather Dana will reveal it, and then I'll spill the beans. The work is already done. It's a fight I've been asking for for a long time. I'm very happy. Let's go, let's fight,” Jean Silva said in a vlog on the Fighting Nerds YouTube channel.
The announcement crowns an aggressive campaign by Jean Silva for a high-impact fight. After finishing Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314 in April of this year, he publicly requested a fight at UFC Kansas City , which was scheduled for 15 days later. That wish was not granted at the time.
Undefeated in the UFC with five consecutive victories (all by knockout or submission), the Santa Catarina native has accumulated 16 career triumphs — 15 of them on the fast track — and two defeats.
