Currently outside the top 15 in the featherweight rankings (up to 65,7kg.) Bryce mitchell apparently made a surprising career decision. According to the website Red Corner, the American will move to the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg) and already has a fight scheduled for Abu Dhabi, on July 26, to face Said Nurmagomedov to follow.
Despite the announcement, the rival of Jean Silva has not yet commented on the decision. In a recent post, Mitchell revealed an unusual training session in which he practiced boxing by punching a dead pig that was hanging. At the time, 'Lord' even provoked his rival, but did not receive any kind of response from the MMA prospect.

Also no longer in the top 15 of his category, Said is coming off a defeat to the Brazilian Vinicius Lok Dog. Considered a promising Russian fighter in the category, the fighter has not been able to put together a winning streak since 2022, when he had four consecutive triumphs. As much as he is Nurmagomedov, the veteran is not affiliated with Khabib's clan.
Starring the confrontation between Robert whittaker e Ridder's Reinier in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg) UFC Abu Dhabi has already announced five official matches, but no Brazilians have yet been selected. The Russian team has also not commented on the fight against Mitchell.
