Greg Hardy has already been arrested
In 2014, he was convicted of assaulting and threatening to kill his then-girlfriend and was sentenced to 18 months probation. The charges were later dropped after the victim failed to appear at trial. Two years later, the fighter was arrested for cocaine possession, but the charges were dropped after he completed a rehabilitation program.
Hardy rose to prominence in American football as a defensive end, playing for six seasons in the NFL, including stints with the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. In 2013, he was selected to the Pro Bowl and named to the second All-Pro team. However, his career in the league was cut short by off-field issues.
Transition to MMA and UFC
After leaving the NFL, Hardy began his career in MMA, debuting in the UFC in 2019. His stint was marked by four wins and five losses, in addition to one fight without a result.
Despite some knockout victories, he faced criticism due to his history of domestic violence. He later also ventured into traditional boxing and bare-knuckle boxing.
