Keeping an eye on the bantamweight title fight (up to 61,2 kg) at UFC 316, Alexander Volkanovsky offered sincere advice to Sean O'Malley for the American to increase his chances of getting revenge on Merab Dvalishvili this Saturday (7). Aware that the Georgian has a leading position in grappling, the veteran suggested that 'Sugar' not worry and let his strategy flow.

“The fight should look exactly the same, right? That’s what you think, the fight should look exactly the same. Are we going to see a different Sean? Yeah, I think so. The key thing for him is the ability to not worry, to not hesitate, to worry about takedowns. Worry about that when you get there. Game plan to let him in, make that a part of your style,” Volkanovski said in a video on his YouTube channel. YouTube.

As he continued speaking, the fighter recognized the great talent in the stand-up fighting presented by the former champion.

“If you’re really worried about the takedown, you’re not going to be as free standing up and we know how good Sean O’Malley is when he’s free standing up, I think he’s one of the best strikers in the UFC, he’s incredible standing up,” he concluded.
