In search of a second consecutive victory and ready to wage war in UFC 316, Vincent Luque ended up tasting his own medicine in a duel against Kevin holland. An expert in applying the hand triangle, the Brazilian was forced to tap out after his opponent landed a perfect submission in the second round of the fight.
Victorious in his last appearance, Luque was expecting to take another step into the top 10, a place he had previously occupied. Despite the setback, the athlete expressed his satisfaction with the episode and congratulated his rival for the achievement. This was the athlete's seventh defeat in the organization.

Vicente Luque taps out in second round
The duel began with a lot of study between the fighters, until Kevin holland kick, Luque held the blow and received a violent sequence of punches from the American. Despite the tense moment, Vicente resisted the moment, remained standing and accepted a violent exchange of blows. In the second round of the fight, Vicente ignored his opponent's provocations and continued moving forward. Surprisingly, the American sought the takedown, put the Brazilian on his back and applied Luque's best weapon: an arm triangle. Adjusted, the athlete forced his opponent to tap out.
