In the main card of the event, the American imposed firepower in his hands at the beginning of the fight, slowed down and defeated Kelvin Gastelum in a generational duel for middleweights (up to 83,9 kg). He apologized to the audience, who booed the performance of both fighters.

“Sorry if I bored you guys, but I’m coming back (…), I had surgery two weeks after my fight, so sorry if I did something you didn’t like. But the ‘Bang Bang’ is back, baby,” Pyfer said in an interview in the octagon.
