After the overwhelming victory of Kayla harrison about Julianna Pena in the title fight of the co-main event of UFC 316, last Saturday (6), the new champion starred in an intense face-off with the legend Amanda nunes in the octagon, indicating a likely return from retirement by the 'Lioness' to make the duel happen. The American's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, however, is not entirely convinced that this will happen.

In a recent appearance on the 'Submission Radio' podcast, the controversial agent stated that Amanda nunes was rooting against Kayla harrison during the UFC 316 and doubted the Brazilian's interest in a duel against the new champion, despite the staredown.

“When Amanda was in the UFC, nobody really cared. When she retired, nobody cared. Now, Kayla brought her back and created a moment for a big fight, the whole environment. I have my doubts about Amanda. She was sitting next to me and, by the energy of her, she wanted Kayla to lose. She definitely wanted Julianna to win, I guarantee it. If you want to fight someone, you root for them to win, right? She wanted Kayla to lose. I’m telling the truth,” the manager teased.

Ali Abdelaziz once again stressed the relevance of Amanda nunes for world MMA and guaranteed that, if he is wrong and the duel actually comes to fruition, Kayla harrison will make the 'Lioness' regret ever returning.

“With all due respect to Amanda, no one cares about her. Let’s be honest. When she left, no one cared. Kayla made her relevant again and is going to crush her face. She’s going to make her give up,” he concluded.
