Responsible for managing the careers of several MMA stars, Ali Abdelaziz foresees the risk of being forced to end his contract with Justin gaethje, if UFC does not comply with the athlete's request. According to the businessman, the American plans to face the winner of Ilia Topuria x Charles of the Bronx next and if by chance he is not chosen as the next challenger, he will retire.
"Justin gaethje “He fights the winner. He’s won three of his last four fights, saved the UFC twice. They needed him, and he’s there. The guy has done a lot for the sport. If anyone said he doesn’t deserve it, he said, ‘If I’m not going to fight for the title, I’m just going to hang up my gloves.’ He’s a very principled guy. He feels very strongly about it,” Abdelaziz told Submission Radio.

Continuing with his speech, Ali explained how Gaethje feels amid the current scenario of the title race.
“He told me this yesterday. I was at the fight, he said, ‘I’m not going to get a title shot. I feel disrespected. I love being a UFC fighter, I love the UFC, but I think the UFC has to love me back.’ And he’s not feeling that love right now. But at the end of the day, I think this guy is loved by them. I think they’re going to give him what he wants. But at the end of the day, we have to see what happens first between Charles and Ilia,” he concluded.

Former title challenger Gaethje is coming off a win over Raphael Fiziev and currently occupies third position in the category ranking. The duel between Topuria and Do Bronx takes place on June 28, in the main fight of the UFC 317.
