Arman Tsarukyan reacted sarcastically to the possibility of Justin gaethje to drop the gloves if he does not receive the next chance for the UFC lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg).
Currently ranked number 1 in the division, Tsaruyan wasted no time. The Armenian responded to the words of Ali Abdelaziz, Gaethje's manager, on the 'X' platform (formerly Twitter) with a comment.

“Congratulations on an incredible career. Enjoy your retirement,” Arman wrote on his official social media account.
The controversy began with statements from Gaethje's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, who revealed that his athlete conditioned the continuation of his career on the guarantee of competing for the linear title, currently at stake between Charles of the Bronx e Ilia Topuria No. UFC 317, scheduled for June 28 in Las Vegas.
"Justin gaethje "He faces the winner. He's won three of his last four fights and saved the UFC twice. (…) If anyone says he doesn't deserve it, he told me: 'If I'm not going to fight for the title, I'm going to hang up my gloves'", the businessman told Submission Radio.
Tsarukyan's move is not without reason. Both athletes are strong candidates for the starting position afterUFC 317. Former interim champion and holder of the symbolic 'BMF' belt, Gaethje went through Raphael Fiziev No. UFC 315 and put himself back in the running.
Tsarukyan saw his title shot slip away due to a back injury, which forced him to withdraw from the fight against the then champion. Islam makhachev No. UFC 311, earlier this year. Since then, the Armenian has publicly advocated a fight against Justin as a logical path to define the next challenger.
