In a video published on his YouTube channel, Durinho mocked Yair's refusal to face Diego lopes, classifying the attitude as typical of someone who is afraid. For the Brazilian, the Mexican made excuses to avoid a confrontation that made perfect sense, especially given the newly established rivalry between the two athletes.

“In Rio, we say that we farted in the farofa. My brother, he farted in the farofa legally. In short: he gave a bunch of excuses, blah blah blah, and even said: 'I'm so mad at him that I don't want to fight him in the octagon, I want to fight in the street'. You're a professional fighter, you get paid to fight, you have a beef with the guy, the UFC is going to pay you to fight, and you come and say that you don't want to fight in the octagon, you want to fight in the street? Do you know what that means? That's the 'Manual of the Shit', chapter six, verse one: you're shitting yourself!”, he explained. Gilbert Durinho.
