Conor McGregor starred in an episode of violence in the early hours of Tuesday (17/06) at the Pacha nightclub in Ibiza, Spain. At around 5:53 am, the Irishman threw two punches at a man, who fell to the ground after being hit. Witnesses reported that the attacker was holding a glass of drink in his right hand when he attacked the victim, who did not fight back. The incident was released on video by the British tabloid 'The Sun'.
According to footage obtained, McGregor was on a raised platform when he began a dialogue with the man, whose identity remains unknown.

After a few seconds of conversation, the former UFC featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) champion placed his left arm on the alleged victim's shoulders. He then struck him in the head. With the man still stunned, he landed a second, stronger punch, which knocked him down. Security guards then removed the man, while Conor remained in the nightclub without facing any restrictions.
Outside the ring, the 'Notorious' man has accumulated legal challenges. In November 2024, the Irish court found him guilty of assault and sexual assault against Nikita Hand in a Dublin hotel in 2018, and ordered him to pay €248 (around R$1,5 million, at the current exchange rate) in compensation. He is appealing the decision in court.
Conor McGregor has not competed professionally since July 2021, when he fractured his leg in his third fight against Dustin poirier. His return to the UFC, initially scheduled against Michael chandler, has been cancelled without a new date.
