Many people have lost patience with the delay for the unification fight of the heavyweight division titles (up to 120,2kg). Including the UFC boss, Dana White. While Tom Aspinall suffers with the long wait and Jon Jones threatens to retire, the organization's CEO stated this Tuesday (17) that a decision on the confrontation will be made very soon.

"I don't know, we'll see how this unfolds in the next few weeks. If we can't finish this fight, we'll move on quickly. I said a few weeks. We'll have answers in the next few weeks," Dana White stated in an interview with Jim Rome.
Regarding Jon Jones ' inactivity and his stance towards Tom Aspinall , the UFC boss assures that the American is not 'running away' from the fight.
“Listen, Jon Jones has been an interesting human being to deal with since the day he got here,” White said. “But I’ll tell you one thing about him: you would never hear me saying he’s the greatest of all time, and that he’s this and that, if Jon Jones didn’t want to fight people. Jon Jones never said, ‘I’m afraid to fight this guy’ or ‘I don’t like this fight for me’ or anything like that,” Dana White stated.
