Kamaru Usman reveals ambitious plan in the UFC and aims for a historic superfight: 'We will have interesting months'

After winning at UFC Atlanta, Usman plans to move up to middleweight and face Dricus Du Plessis in a historic event in Africa

After victory about Joaquin buckley in the main fight of UFC Atlanta, Kamaru Usman has once again dreamed big within the world's largest MMA organization. The Nigerian, who had been discredited after three consecutive defeats, dominated the prospect for five rounds and now has ambitious plans: not only to regain the welterweight belt (up to 77 kg), but also to challenge the middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) in a historic event for the Ultimate.

In an interview with 'TMZ Sports', Usman revealed that he plans to move up a weight class to face Dricus Du Plessis in a card that should mark the UFC's debut on the African continent. According to the former champion, the organization has expressed this desire for some years now, with the aim of promoting a symbolic duel between Nigeria and South Africa.

The mission, however, is not simple. The Nigerian is ranked fifth and faces tough competition, including names such as Sean brady, Shavkat Rakhmonov, Ian Gary, Belal Muhammad | e até Islam makhachev, who moved up a category in search of a second title.
