Jon Jones Retires
At 37, Jon Jones Jones ended his career with a record of 28 wins, one loss by disqualification and one no-contest fight, cementing his status as one of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA. Jones began his career in the sport in 2008, quickly debuted in the UFC and, in March 2011, at the age of 23 years and eight months, became the youngest champion in the history of the organization by knocking out Maurício “Shogun” Rua at UFC 128.
At the height of his career, he dominated the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg) for years, where he defended his belt 11 times against names such as Rampage jackson, Lyoto Machida, Vitor belfort, Alexander Gustafson e Daniel Cormier.
