The paths of Ilia Topuria and Charles do Bronx crossed on the eve of the anticipated lightweight title fight (up to 70,3 kg) at UFC 317, next Saturday (28). However, anyone who expected the atmosphere of provocations and rivalry, mainly on the part of the Georgian-Spanish fighter, to remain personal was mistaken.
In the early hours of this Thursday (26), Ilia Topuria shared on social media images of the first meeting with Charles do Bronx in the week of UFC 317. The former featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg) was in the sauna, cutting weight, when he was greeted by the Brazilian. The video, of about five seconds, shows apparently quite friendly interactions between the rivals.

Charles do Bronx and Ilia Topuria face off for the vacant lightweight belt in the main event of UFC 317, this Saturday (28), in Las Vegas, United States, closing the 'International Fight Week'. The event also features the flyweight title fight (up to 56,7 kg) between Alexandre Pantoja and Kai Kara-France.
Recovery vs. Historic Achievement
Charles Oliveira, lightweight champion between 2021 and 2022, wants to reclaim the belt he lost to Islam Makhachev at UFC 280. On the other side, Ilia Topuria — former featherweight champion — is giving up that title to dream of his second crown, now in the 70,3 kg division.
The two will face each other for the vacant belt left by Makhachev, who moved up to welterweight (up to 77,1 kg).
