Gilbert Durinho used his YouTube channel to counter criticism against Charles of the Bronx and the 'Chute Boxe Diego Lima' gym after the former champion's defeat to Ilia Topuria No. UFC 317 last Saturday (28). With arguments based on statistics and recent history, the Brazilian fighter questioned the logic of his detractors and defended the credibility of one of the most emblematic teams in MMA.

“It’s not the majority that’s talking badly, it’s the minority. Now, this minority talks about fighting IQ, Chute Boxe, Diego Lima, Charles… Charles was number 17 on Topuria’s record. Topuria is 17-0 in MMA,” said Durinho.

The Brazilian, who recently suffered a setback in the face of the prospect MichaelMorales at UFC Vegas 106, he expanded his defense by mentioning another big name who was also defeated by Topuria: Max Holloway.

“If Chute Boxe is that bad, if Charles is that bad, let's talk about Max Holloway. Is Holloway that bad? Where is Holloway and his team's IQ?” he concluded.
