The MMA world is in mourning after the heroic death of Jeff Brady, a longtime PFL and Bellator employee. This Sunday (6), he lost his life while saving two children from drowning in the Lower River in Arizona, a place he called his 'little piece of paradise'. The confirmation came through an emotional account from his twin brother, Greg Brady, and was later endorsed by the organization itself on its social media.

Jeff Brady saw two boys at risk of drowning and acted without hesitation. According to Greg, his brother "gave his life saving two boys" in a heroic act. The place where the incident occurred, near Jeff's house, was known by the brothers as their refuge.

“He didn’t think twice. He saw someone in need and acted, as he always did. Today I lost my twin brother, my best friend, my other half and now my HERO. Heaven gained a Viking angel,” Greg wrote in a post on Instagram.

Reaction from the MMA world

The PFL confirmed the tragedy on its social media, generating a wave of tributes from big names in the sport. Fighters such as former UFC champion Tyron woodley, Chris Cyborg, The Brazilians Patrick Pitbull, Douglas lima, Thiago Marreta e Raush Manfio, And Taila Santos e Shoe Face, expressed admiration and pain. They called Jeff a 'true hero'.
