Jon Jones has been flirting with the possibility of returning to the UFC, but not everyone is keen on the idea. Veteran UFC fighter and commentator Matt Brown reacted to the news with skepticism and admitted that the current situation raises suspicions after his rivalry with Tom aspinall for the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg).

In an analysis of the podcast 'The Fighter vs The Writer', Brown highlighted the contradiction. The same Jones who avoided facing Aspinall is willing to return for an event at the White House.

“I'm a fan of Jon Jones “As much as anyone. I’ve always maintained that he’s not afraid of Tom, that he’s willing to fight anyone. It’s hard not to buy into that narrative here. For me, fighting in the White House doesn’t cut it. (…) I have the utmost respect for Jon. The guy was kicking people’s asses while using a c*ck. That said: it feels like an escape,” said Matt Brown.
