More than half the year has passed, and the UFC has recorded several iconic knockouts in its events so far. The organization's official commentator and witness to violent triumphs, Daniel Cormier demonstrates that he already has his favorite performance: Mauricio Ruffy against King Green No. UFC 313.

The bookmakers' favorite, the Fighting Nerds representative shocked the MMA world by scoring a stunning knockout victory over the company's veteran. In the first round, Ruffy cornered his opponent against the cage, feinted with body movements, and landed a beautiful spinning kick that immediately knocked the American out of the Octagon.

In Cormier's view, the feat is still superior to the victory of Ilia Topuria about Charles of the Bronx, where the Spanish-Georgian managed to triumph after landing a brutal sequence of punches to the face of the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg).

“Topuria knocked out Charles Oliveira, Malcolm Wellmaker knocked out (Kris) Moutinho, and then Mauricio Ruffy landed that spinning heel kick on the King Green. I think this one is easy. I think the knockout of Ilia Topuria was the most valuable because of the stage and what it meant, but in terms of knockout it was the kick of Mauricio Ruffy em King Green”, Cormier said in Good Guy/Bad Guy.

Still in a statement, DC praised the Brazilian's speed and skill.

"That was crazy... because you know how good Green is, you know how good his eyes are, and he had no idea that heel kick was coming. Luffy hit him with the kick, boom, face down, it's over. That's my knockout of the year so far," he concluded.

Looking to return to the Octagon quickly, Ruffy guarantees his next fight will impress fans. The Brazilian's team is looking for a fight against Michael chandler, but so far nothing has been made official.
