Weigh-ins in the days leading up to UFC events are often cited by fighters as challenges as great as, or even greater than, the fights themselves. However, according to an organization legend, some athletes skip this stage and use stunt doubles in their place.

Former lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) and welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) champion, B.J. Penn used 'Instagram' to accuse names like Kayla harrison, Georges St-Pierre, Khabib Nurmagomedov e Islam makhachev of using stunt doubles to cheat at official UFC weigh-ins.

“We live in a fantasy world, a world of illusions. The great purpose of life is to find reality! Masked scoundrels don't need to be drug tested or weigh themselves. What advantage do they have? The serious and more than unlikely accusation made by B.J. Penn This isn't an isolated case for the former champion. Recently, the Hawaiian has been dealing with mental health issues and was arrested four times in two weeks in June of this year.

B.J. Penn was arrested for violating a restraining order that prevented him from approaching his own mother, who alleged "extreme psychological abuse." In her statement, she reported suspicions that her son suffers from "Capgras Syndrome" — a rare disorder that causes the patient to believe that people close to him have been replaced by identical impostors.

Considered one of the biggest names in the history of MMA, B.J. Penn has a legacy marked by achievements: he was the UFC lightweight and welterweight champion, with three defenses of the lightweight belt. His induction into the Hall of Fame in 2015, in the modern wing, recognized his influence in the pre-unified rules era.

In recent years, however, public episodes of aggression, fights and accusations of paranoid behavior have tarnished his image. Videos posted on his social media accused family members and public figures of being 'infiltrated agents' trying to control his inheritance.
