Charles do Bronx surprises, aims to return to the octagon in 2025 and sets a target

Brutally knocked out by Ilia Topuria in June, Charles do Bronx wants to fight again in November or December

Less than two weeks after being brutally knocked out by Ilia Topuria in a lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) title fight in the main event of the UFC 317, Charles of the Bronx already has plans to return to the octagon in 2025.

In a recent interview with 'Ag Fight,' Charles expressed interest in fighting again this season. The former champion pointed to the last two months of 2025 as ideal for his next fight.

"This week is over. Next week, I'm probably going to Germany; I have a seminar to attend. As soon as I get back from Germany, I want to get back to training, but nothing too strenuous. I want to come back in the morning, relaxed, try to understand, move, focus, because in November, I want to fight again. November, early December, I want to fight again. I want to fight again this year. I don't want to miss a fight this year. I want a good fight, I don't know who with. This would be the timing: fight again in November," he noted. Who will be Charles of the Bronx's next rival?

Although he has expressed interest in returning to the octagon in 2025, Charles of the Bronx has no rival defined for the next fight. The Brazilian, however, has a target of interest: the Hawaiian Max Holloway.

With this, the tendency is that Charles of the Bronx Stay tuned for the next numbered Ultimate event. On July 19, UFC 318 features the BMF title fight between Max Holloway e Dustin poirier, who will retire after the duel.

“I really asked for this fight (against Max Holloway), why not? He's fighting in July, I fought in June. I think November would be the timing. It would be a great fight. He also said he'd fight me, so why not? suggested Charles.
