Last week, US President Donald Trump surprised everyone by announcing plans to host a UFC event at the White House in celebration of the country's 250th anniversary of independence in July 2026. UFC President Dana White assures that he is already making the necessary moves to get the idea off the ground.

In a recent interview with the 'Full Send Podcast', Dana admitted that she didn't expect Donald Trump to announce the event, but assured that she is already coordinating all the details with the president and the entire White House team.

"Trump didn't tell me he was going to announce it. My team has already gone to the White House, we've already worked out all the logistics. We're working out a format now and will send it to them next week. (...) I don't know how many people will get in. The Secret Service won't allow many. Everyone will have their background checked. Whoever makes it will have a unique experience. While we're filming, one side will have the White House as a backdrop and the other the Washington Monument. I don't think we'll sell tickets," said Dana.

At the time the announcement was made, dozens of fighters expressed interest in participating in UFC Casa Branca, including big stars such as Conor McGregor, without fighting for four years, and Jon Jones, who announced his retirement last month.

"Literally everyone wants to fight on this card. Everyone. There's still a year left, and the outlook could change a lot in that time, so we'll see. But we're definitely going to put together the biggest card ever," Dana promised.

As for the main fight of the event, Dana White indicated that the soap opera between Tom aspinall e Jon Jones, which seemed to be over, may have been renewed for another long season. Furthermore, the president did not rule out McGregor's return.

PUBLICITY:

“The dream main fight would be Tom aspinall against Jon Jones. It could be (that Jones and McGregor fight on the same card),” he replied.
