Now in a video, McGregor once again teases his return to the UFC at an event at the White House: 'I'm going'

Former champion mentions possible trip to the White House and reinforces expectations for return at historic event with Trump in attendance

Conor McGregor has once again fueled rumors about his UFC return. And, as usual, with a touch of spectacle. In a video posted on Bare Knuckle FC's social media, the organization's former champion hinted at the possibility of attending the UFC's first-ever White House event.

"It feels like I'm going to the Oval Office again. That's where I'm going now," he said.

The UFC recently announced that it will be hosted by US President Donald Trump at a special White House event to celebrate US Independence Day on July 4, 2026.

The presence of McGregor, one of the biggest stars in the history of the sport, would further heighten the importance of the occasion, especially amid speculation about his long-awaited return to the cage.

The Irishman hasn't fought since July 2021, when he suffered a serious leg injury in the trilogy against Dustin poirier, at UFC 264. Since then, he has flirted with returning to the octagon on several occasions, but there has been no official confirmation yet. His name was even mentioned for a fight against Michael chandler, but the duel never came to fruition.

Trump's proposal, unveiled during a rally in Iowa, calls for a spectacle with up to 25 spectators. The UFC hasn't released any operational details, but the former president's close relationship with Dana White is well known.

Donald has attended recent organization events, and Dana skipped a card to attend his military parade in June.

The celebration of the quarter-millennium of American independence, dubbed 'America 250', will include events at national parks and historic battlefields, with MMA as a possible headliner.

Donald Trump's speech announcing UFC Casa Branca was shared by the Ultimate on the organization's social media, generating engagement not only from fans, but also from several fighters who spoke out and asked for a spot in the event.

Names like the bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili, The Brazilians Caio Borralho, Edson Barboza, Gilbert Durinho, Johnny Walker and even retired athletes like Chris Weidman e Karolina Kowalkiewicz reacted to the publication and showed interest in fighting in the White House.
