After a crucial change at UFC Abu Dhabi, Jean Silva says he will fight for the belt if he beats Diego Lopes.

Brazilian believes the cancellation of the Movsar Evloev vs. Aaron Picco fight will benefit him in the race for the featherweight division throne.

Amid the presence of several talents in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), Jean Silva may have had great luck on his way to the belt. Scheduled to face Diego lopes in the main fight of UFC Santo Antonio, on September 13, the Brazilian guaranteed that he will fight for the title next, after Movsar Evloev wasting the opportunity to appear in Abu Dhabi, in the fight that was scheduled for July 26 against Aaron Picco.

Currently ranked first, the Russian had to cancel his commitment to the organization once again, generating significant backlash due to his history with the company. "I was already happy, but I knew Evloev needed to fight first so I could be sure I'd get the belt right away. Now I'm sure I'll get the belt after he pulled out of the fight. So far, the Russian hasn't won any quick fights, raising questions about his potential to promote fights.
