In a statement revealed by BKFC president David Feldman, the Irishman said he wants to perform at a 'big' event, linked to the White House, and that he is already envisioning the next steps before finalizing his contract with the UFC.
"I'm in the testing pool. I'm getting ready to come back. I'm going to fight on that big White House card and then I'm going to have one more fight. Then we'll talk," McGregor said, according to Feldman.

The UFC hasn't officially confirmed the event, but rumors indicate that Dana White is planning a special card for the second half of 2026 with institutional support from the United States. President Donald Trump has already left the organization of the historic event in the hands of the company's leader.
With only two fights remaining on his current contract, McGregor has hinted that he intends to fulfill it and then evaluate new paths, which could include, as has been suggested in the past, a return to boxing, appearances at special events or even a definitive break with Dana White's organization.
At 36, the Irishman hasn't fought since July 2021, when he suffered a serious leg injury in a loss to Dustin poirierSince then, he has accumulated media appearances, business ventures outside of the sport, and constant rumors about his return, all of which have been thwarted.
