In an atmosphere of tension and mutual respect, Paulo borrachinha e Roman Kopylov held the traditional pre-fight face-off this Thursday (17), in New Orleans, stage of UFC 318, scheduled for this Saturday (19). In search of recovery after a sequence of defeats, the Brazilian remained serious and thanked the fans for their affection.

Borrachinha is looking to get back to winning ways after a difficult period. With just one win in his last five fights, the Minas Gerais native faces Kopylov, who is currently on a career high.
The middleweight bout (83,9 kg) promises to be one of the highlights of the event, with both athletes looking to reaffirm their names on the international stage. They star in the co-main event of the card, which will also feature Dustin poirier x Max Holloway in the fight for the company's BMF belt.

Paulo Borrachinha tries to recover in the UFC
Borrachinha debuted in the UFC in 2017 and, in his first four fights, accumulated four knockouts. In the fifth, he won Yoel romero in a true war inside the octagon, consolidating himself as one of the main names in the division.
Paulo Costa's sixth UFC fight was against Israel adesanya, for the middleweight title. However, the Brazilian was unable to find the Nigerian inside the cage, was knocked out in the second round, and since then, has never been able to find his best form. He also lost to Marvin vettori, Sean Strickland e Robert whittaker.
