Alex Poatan's sister, Aline Pereira, wins belt in Karate Combat

Aline had the support of Poatan in the corner to dominate Fani Peloumpi and become the organization's flyweight champion.

About four months after Alex Poatán to have been dethroned by Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 313, in March, the Pereira family once again had a belt to call their own. The younger sister of the former Ultimate champion, Aline Pereira, won, last Saturday (19), the Karate Combat flyweight belt.

In the co-main event of Karate Combat 56, held in Miami, United States, Aline dominated Greek Fani Peloumpi and emerged victorious by unanimous decision, winning the vacant belt in the category.

More precise and forceful than her opponent, Aline dominated most of the fight to achieve her second consecutive victory this season.

To become champion, Aline Pereira had the help of Plínio Cruz and Alex Poatán, who, at the end of the fight, helped deliver the belt.

Aline Pereira started in martial arts following in her brother's footsteps in kickboxing and even competed for the Glory belt, an organization she is part of. Alex Poatán was champion in two categories.

Later, Aline also made the move to MMA, but was unsuccessful, with only one win and two losses in three professional fights.

Her true achievement came in Karate Combat. At 34, Aline has three fights, three wins (two knockouts with left hooks, the family's main weapon), and now a belt in the organization.
