The hunt for Paulo borrachinha a Khamzat Shimaev continues and doesn't seem to be close to finishing. The Brazilian middleweight (up to 83,9 kg), who returned to winning ways after beating Roman Kopylov at UFC 318, last Saturday (19), not only continues to campaign for a fight against the Chechen, but also guarantees that he knows exactly how to beat his rival.

In a recent interview with 'Submission Radio', Borrachinha, more than just showing no interest in hiding his strategy, revealed, step by step, what his approach would be in a possible duel with Chimaev in the octagon.

"It's very simple, and I'll explain. I can see it very clearly in my mind. He'll be very stressed, anxious, and angry with me, right? When the fight starts, he'll come in, feint a few punches, and instantly dive for my legs. I'll spend some time defending his takedowns. He'll try, try, try. After a minute, a minute and a half, he'll be exhausted. His arms and shoulders will be heavy, like a heavyweight," he began to explain.

According to Borrachinha, the moment he noticed Chimaev's fatigue, it would be time to go on the offensive against the Chechen.

"Then he'll realize he can't get me to the ground on my back, and he'll be heavy and slow. I might not finish him in the first round. I'll let him run out of steam until he's a walking corpse by the second round. Then I'll hit his stomach as much as I can, with front kicks and body blows, until he wants to give up. When I realize this, I'll start hitting his face and making him even uglier than he already is," he concluded.

Although it is the main target of Paulo borrachinha, Khamzat Shimaev has another priority set at the moment. The Chechen is the next challenger for the belt Dricus du Plessis in the middleweight division. The two face each other in the main event of the UFC 319, on August 16, in Chicago, United States.
