One of the top members of the Dagestan Clan appears to be very close to returning to the world's most famous octagon. Second in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg), Umar Nurmagomedov should announce his return soon, six months after being surpassed by Merab Dvalishvili in the co-main event of UFC 311. The information was passed on by Khabib Nurmagomedov in a publication in the stories on Instagram this Friday (25).

In addition to sharing a photo with his cousin, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) made it clear that the official announcement of the fighter's next fight is close with a message.

“Main fight of the night. 5 rounds… It’s time to come back, Jr.”, said the former fighter.

The statement corroborates the idea of Ali Abdelaziz, the most famous businessman in the industry and responsible for managing the career of the Dagestan Clan. Last Wednesday (23), he published on his official X account (former Twitter) that negotiations for the return of the bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) were close to being concluded. However, there is still no information about the opponent.

Nurmagomedov's last performance was traumatic. After five intense rounds, the Russian was defeated by Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision and ended up suffering his first professional loss after 18 consecutive victories. In addition to the setback, the fighter also had to undergo surgery on his right hand, which was fractured during the fight.
