Kayla harrison provoked again Amanda nunes and further fueled rumors of a possible superfight between the former training partners. In a recent question-and-answer session, the current UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) challenged the Brazilian again and promised to "break" the women's MMA legend in the octagon.

"I've been training, but now I'm going back to training hard and I'm ready to kick Amanda (Nunes's) ass. Every fight is different. Amanda is the greatest of all time for a reason, so I'm prepared for five tough rounds. One round at a time. One minute at a time. One exchange at a time. One breath at a time. But I'm going to go in there and make my will count. I'm going to break her, I'm going to defend my belt, and I'm going to fight in the White House," Kayla declared.

After the victory, Amanda nunes stepped into the octagon and faced her rival, making the challenge official and adding fuel to the rivalry between the two.

Yes, Amanda nunes, who has not fought since June 2023, had announced retirement after winning Irene aldana, but revealed that she would return if Kayla won the title – which she did. The 'Lioness' is considered by many to be the greatest fighter in the history of women's MMA, with titles in two divisions (bantamweight and featherweight).

The expectation is that the confrontation will take place in 2025. Harrison has already expressed interest in being part of the historic card that US President Donald Trump announced for July 4, 2026, at the White House, in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence.
