Victim of a brutal knockout in the duel against her compatriot Tabatha Ricci No. UFC Abu Dhabi, last Saturday (26), Amanda ribas revealed that he will need to undergo further surgery on his face. The blow that ended the fight, an elbow in the clinch in the second round, hit a metal plate already in the area, implanted in 2023 after the loss to Maycee barber.
"I'm going to have to have surgery over the previous one. I think the plate was a little loose. Those who trained with me know I was having constant headaches, and I thought it was nothing. With the impact of the elbow, the plate moved, dislocating the muscle, and is putting pressure on something there," the fighter said via Instagram.

The fighter also reported tense moments at the hospital in Abu Dhabi, due to intense pain and difficulty understanding medical information. Despite this, she expressed relief knowing she was being well cared for and that the procedure was already being planned.
"I was scared because each doctor said something different in a language I don't understand, and I was in so much pain I couldn't even speak Portuguese properly," she said. "The hospital is luxurious, everything is perfect. I'm no longer in pain. I'm going to have surgery soon," she concluded.
The situation is also delicate inside the Octagon. With her loss to Ricci, Amanda has now suffered three consecutive defeats in the UFC and sees her position in the strawweight rankings threatened. Previously considered a potential title challenger, the Minas Gerais native now has a record of seven wins and six losses in the organization, with only one victory since her first orbital fracture in 2023.
