Aspinall teases, and Chandler responds with irony about Jon Jones: 'You were waiting too'

The English champion said he was certain of Paddy Pimblett's victory after watching the 'Iron' fight against Charles do Bronx.

Tom aspinall doesn't like the way of Michael chandler fight. The American's last fight was a defeat to the heavyweight champion's pupil (up to 120,2 kg): Paddy Pimblett. The fight, in the UFC 314, ended in a knockout in the third round. In the company of 'The Buddy,' Aspinall appeared in a training video in which he criticized the veteran's performance.

"It's a bad fight IQ. … It's weird because he's obviously a very fit guy, but if you run for five minutes, nobody's going to be in shape, right? He just goes in there, throws from here, swings, all he does is catch it full throttle," he said. Tom aspinall No. video.

Three-time Bellator champion, Michael chandler has seven fights in the UFC. He has only two victories, over Dan Hooker e Tony Ferguson. Despite this, he has five post-fight bonuses, three of which are for 'Fight of the Night'. Aspinall is surprised by the statistic and recalled the defeat 'Iron' suffered to Charles of the Bronx, when he understood that Pimblett would win.

“It's crazy for someone who has so many struggles, I'm surprised. I was watching him and thinking, 'There's no way Paddy can lose to this guy.' I know a lot of people were saying online, 'He's a tough fight for Paddy.' I was thinking, 'Easy fight for Paddy.' And it was pretty easy," said the Englishman.

It wasn't long before the heavyweight champion's critical comments caught the attention of Chandler, who responded on social media 'Threads'. He provoked the opponent for not being able to secure the long-awaited fight against Jon Jones.

“Didn’t that asshole say that like 3 years ago? And then he waited as long for Jon as I waited for Conor after he criticized me for waiting for Conor? Cool,” Chandler wrote.
