Despite frustrating the Brazilian's debut in the Ultimate, the performance was not enough for the Slovakian's contract to be renewed. Last Tuesday (12), the fighter reached 12th place in the ranking of the company's heaviest category.

Martin Buday dominated Marcus Buchecha
Buday welcomed the Brazilian in the first fight of the preliminary card of the UFC Abu Dhabi, last Saturday (26). After 15 minutes of combat, he was declared the winner by unanimous decision of the judges. Days after the fight, he shared old photos on social media alongside the jiu-jitsu legend, revealing that he is a fan of the athlete.
A former Oktagon MMA champion, the Slovakian's journey in the Ultimate began in the Dana White Contender Series, back in 2021. Over three years competing in the world's largest MMA organization, Buday was victorious in seven fights and was only defeated once, at the hands of Shamil Gaziev, at the end of 2023.
