Despite losing, Elves Brener earns Fight of the Night bonus at UFC Vegas 108

Defeated by Estevan Ribovics in a duel valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg) at UFC Vegas 108, elves brener will leave the land of Uncle Sam with a much fatter bank account. Despite the loss, the fight in which the Brazilian participated earned Fight of the Night honors. Thus, he and the Argentine earned a bonus of US$50 (more than R$276 at the current exchange rate).

However, the fight was not the only one to receive the bonus. Unusually, two fights received the bonus after last Saturday's event (2). In addition to the South Americans, Mateusz Rebecki e Chris Duncan were awarded for their clash in the co-main event of the night. The Scotsman came away with the victory by unanimous decision and both left the octagon with the very injured faces.

Also unusually, neither fight won the Performance of the Night bonus. Not even the triumph of Tatsuro Taira, which ended Hyun Sung Park in the second round, it was enough to convince the Ultimate's suits to reward his performance.
