Just weeks after hinting at a possible return to the ring to face Oleksandr Usyk in a trilogy scheduled for 2026, the former world champion Tyson Fury went back and reinforced that he remains retired. In an interview with Sky Sports News, the British man ruled out a new chapter in his career and pointed to age as a determining factor.

"Never. I'm too old. Look at my beard, it's all gray. Boxing is for young people," said the 'Gypsy King'.

the speech of Tyson Fury thwarts the plans of the chairman of the Saudi Arabian Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, who had been fueling rumors about the trilogy and even said that he and Fury had "a rabbit to hunt," alluding to Usyk. The date suggested for the possible duel was April 18, 2026.

Tyson Fury, 37, officially retired in early 2025 after two consecutive losses to the Ukrainian, with whom he fought for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion. Since then, he has led a quiet life away from the ring and, according to him, has no intention of returning.

Meanwhile, Oleksandr Usyk continues his rise. Last month, he knocked out Daniel Dubois and maintained his dominance as the undisputed heavyweight champion. Without Fury in the way, the Ukrainian continues to cement his legacy as one of the greatest names in the division's recent history.
