Francis Ngannou made his name in UFC history with brutal knockouts and a power that impressed even the most seasoned fighters. One of these unforgettable moments happened in UFC 260, in March 2021, when the Cameroonian won the heavyweight belt (up to 120,2 kg) by knocking out Stipe Miocic in an overwhelming way.
The performance, in fact, was once again the subject of the 'The Joe Rogan Experience podcast', where the UFC commentator and presenter recalled the impact of the live scene.

“When he (Miocic) passed out, when (Ngannou) hit him with a left hook and knocked him down, and then punched him when he was already down, I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ It was so different from seeing that in an arena. It was scary,” Rogan described.
The fight took place during the pandemic and without an audience. UFC 260. On that occasion, Ngannou showed remarkable technical improvement compared to their first meeting in 2018, when he was dominated for five rounds and lost by unanimous decision. This time, he entered more strategically and patiently, taking advantage of the smaller octagon to close the gap and pressure the then-champion from the start.

After a first round of physical dominance and strength, the decisive moment came in the second. Ngannou landed a left that staggered Miocic. The American tried to advance with his guard down and paid dearly. The French-Cameroonian landed a devastating left straight, which knocked out his opponent 52 seconds into the round.
Known for his strength in blows, Francis Ngannou his punch has been compared to a speeding car and he holds the record for the strongest blow ever recorded, with an impact equivalent to more than 96 horsepower.
