The MMA world was surprised this Tuesday (5) with the news that Marcus Tullius is out of the duel against Michael Pereira on the main card of UFC China. The athlete was unable to recover in time from surgery on his right thumb, which was performed to correct a long-standing problem. The injury, suffered early in his career, returned during his fight against tresean gore, in April of this year, and ended up preventing his participation in the event.
"This is my second surgery on this finger. I couldn't train, I still didn't have the strength. I had 30% strength in my hand, and it still hurt too much to do any more intense training, whether grappling, mitts, or sparring. I was feeling it too much. So we sat down, talked, and decided it was best to postpone my return," Matuto said in an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS.
