Back on the winning track and eager to reach a new title fight in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), Dominick reyes prepares for a crucial fight, whose potential victory could propel him to the next champion spot. The protagonist of UFC Perth, the American faces the third-ranked fighter in the division, Carlos Ulberg on September 27th. Currently the former rival of Jon Jones comes on the back of three consecutive knockouts, after ending a delicate moment in his career.

In a sincere stance, Reyes did not hesitate to reveal that he prefers to face Magomed Ankalayev instead of his former training partner, Alex Poatán, should his turn to fight for the throne come again. In the athlete's view, the style is similar, but his own game is better than the Russian's.

"I'd definitely prefer fighting Ankalaev. Honestly, I think Ankalaev and I are very similar, but I'm better. We have a very similar fighting style. I think it's almost equal, but he's a little more technical than me in terms of patience, and I'm more willing to throw myself into the fire," Reyes told Submission Radio.
