It will be the UFC's 13th visit to the capital of Rio de Janeiro and the first Fight Night in the city since May 2015, when the event was headlined by Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare.

Unlike traditional numbered cards (pay-per-view), the format does not feature title fights, but promises to shake up the national MMA scene with big names and promising debuts.

Besides Charles of the Bronx, the event marks the long-awaited debut of the multi-time jiu-jitsu champion Bia Mosque in the UFC. The black belt will face the Russian Irina Alekseeva, in a duel valid for the female bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg).

Bia Mosque, who has collected titles in the ADCC and IBJJF, is one of the big Brazilian bets to renew the organization's women's scene.

Another highlight of the card is the heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg.) Victor Petrino, which faces Thomas Petersen in a duel that could bring him closer to the top 15 in the category. In the same division, Jonathan Diniz faces the undefeated Mário Pinto.

PUBLICITY:

Among the flies (up to 56,7 kg), Jafel Filho will face the North American Clayton Carpenter, in a fight that brings together two submission specialists.

In the women's strawweight division, the Polish veteran Karolina Kowalkiewicz face the Brazilian Julia Polastri.

Another national talent, Lucas Rocha, the 'Phenomenon', measures forces with Stewart Nicoll.
