Alex Poatan arrived in Argentina this Wednesday (13), in another stage of the Brazilian's busy routine before the rematch against Magomed Ankalaev for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg), scheduled for October 4, at UFC 320, in Las Vegas. The record was published on his social networks.
While details about what he will do in Argentina have not yet been released, Poatan has maintained a schedule that includes different trips as he prepares for combat.

The fighter, who recently trained in Brazil at the Fighting Nerds academy, where he sparred with athletes such as Michal Oleksiejczuk , also traveled to Uruguay to act in the film Onslaught, in which he plays the villain 'The Butcher'.
The Brazilian has faced criticism in the past for traveling during his training periods, but he assures that all trips are carefully planned, and that his team accompanies him to avoid negative impacts on his performance.

Poatan rematches Ankalaev at UFC 320
In their first encounter, held at UFC 313 on March 8th of this year, Poatan delivered a solid performance in takedown defense. The Russian attempted 12 takedowns during the five rounds, and none of them were successful. The Brazilian remained standing the entire time, using a firm base and well-adjusted defensive clinches.
Despite his resistance in his takedown attempts, the final result was not favorable to the São Paulo native. Ankalaev won by unanimous decision after employing a strategy centered on pressure against the fence, a flurry of strikes in the clinch, and positional dominance, even without effectively taking the fight to the ground.
