On the eve of his confrontation against Geoff neal No. UFC 319, Carlos Prates had a relaxed moment. Representing the Brazilian team Fighting Nerds, the welterweight (up to 77kg) was asked who would be the most eccentric on the team, made up of names like Caio Borralho, Mauricio Ruffy, Jean Silva and himself.

Without hesitation in an interview with 'media day', the São Paulo native handed the 'title' to Jean Silva, his training partner and recent UFC standout.

"Jean. He's half human and half dog. He barks. He's a good person, but among all of us, I think he's the most unique guy. He's just like that. He's truly Jean 100% of the time," Carlos said, in a good-natured tone.

The description may seem exaggerated, but anyone who closely follows the trajectory of Jean Silva knows that the nickname "crazy" isn't a coincidence. With an irreverent style both inside and outside the octagon, Jean has established himself as one of the most eccentric figures in Brazilian MMA today.

During his fight entrances, 'Lord' often adopts a theatrical, provocative, and energetic stance. On social media, he follows the same tone.

In one of his most talked about actions, before facing the controversial Bryce mitchell, Jean published a meme posing as the 'Oso Judío', a character from the film Inglourious Basterds, in clear provocation to his opponent.

But perhaps the most unusual incident occurred outside the cage. In May of this year, during the Áspera N1 event in São José, Santa Catarina, Jean responded to a fan's request to simulate a rear naked choke for a photo.

However, what was supposed to be a simple act turned into something real: the fighter applied the submission with force and maintained the choke even after the traditional taps for surrender. The result? The fan ended up fainting.
