The possible removal of Conor McGregor do active cast of the UFC shook up the MMA news this Thursday (14). The information came after the profile 'UFC Roster Watch', known for monitoring updates in the organization's database, indicated that the Irishman's name had disappeared from the list.

But UFC president Dana White's response wasn't long in coming. In a comment on Instagram, when asked about the matter by @nasharmma, the executive was direct and used just two words to settle the doubts.
“Pure nonsense,” wrote the UFC boss, there is no concrete change in McGregor’s status within the company.

Speculation gained momentum because McGregor's name no longer appears as active in tools that usually reflect the organization's official roster. However, the UFC has not issued any statement regarding this, and Dana White's reaction was enough for many fans to dismiss the possibility of a permanent departure.
Even without a scheduled fight, Conor McGregor has made it clear that he intends to return to the octagon. After suffering a broken leg in his trilogy against Dustin poirierIn 2021, the Irishman was out of the USADA testing pool for an extended period, making him ineligible to compete. In 2025, he officially returned to the testing program.
Dana White has even spoken about ambitious plans involving McGregor. One of them would be to have him fight at a special event on the White House lawn on July 4, 2026, Independence Day.
