Alex Poatán has everything under control in his preparation for his rematch against Magomed Ankalayev. Recently the former champion divided the support of fans by appearing on recording from the movie 'Onslaught' in the middle of the camp for the fight that many consider to be the most difficult of his life. In an interview with UFC Fight Pass the Brazilian explained himself and even took a jab at the haters.

"Everything was as expected, as planned. I see a lot of people criticizing... many don't, some, more the idiots who are criticizing, people who don't understand. The fans don't, I love my fans, they're always supporting me," said Poatan.
The former champion explained that filming, which took place in Argentina and Uruguay, lasted just three days and, although exhausting, was not exhausting, ensuring that he remained physically well during the process.
"It was three days... three good days... You wear your body out, but it's not a stop that leaves you exhausted. I feel good. It's part of it, it's great for me," explained the former champion.

Produced by A24 Studios, Lyrical Media, and Ryder Picture Company, 'Onslaught' is directed by Adam Wingard, the director of Godzilla vs. Kong. Classified as an action thriller with horror elements, the plot follows a mother (played by Puerto Rican Adria Arjona, of True Detective and Morbius fame) who must protect her children after a threat emerges from a secret military base.
Adria Arjona, who is currently dating Hawaiian star Jason Momoa (Aquaman), shares the lead role with Poatan, whose casting as the villain 'The Butcher' was a personal choice by the director. According to Wingard, the role is an opportunity for the Brazilian to showcase his martial arts skills, including chokeholds and spinning kicks.

After failing to find his game and losing by unanimous decision in the UFC 313, Alex Poatán is scheduled to face Magomed Ankalayev in the main fight of UFC 320, scheduled for October 4th, when he will attempt to regain the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) title.
