Caio Borralho watched Dricus Du Plessis get dominated for five rounds in the main event of UFC 319, held last Saturday, and instantly claimed to have the answer to a question that MMA fans and experts have been asking for a long time: how to stop Khamzat Chimaev ? Even though this question may seem difficult to answer, the Fighting Nerds representative guarantees he has the answer.

In a post on 'X' (formerly Twitter), Caio Borralho , who has trained with Chimaev and experienced firsthand what the wolf is capable of, stated that he has the answer to counter the game of the new middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg).

Caio Borralho 's theory gains strength when Alan Finfou, Chimaev's coach, points out that the Brazilian is one of the few UFC athletes capable of complicating the wolf's game, especially due to his high level of grappling.

"He also has very good jiu-jitsu. I even forgot about him: Caio Borralho . He trained there at the academy too. Back to back on the ground or on top, man, good jiu-jitsu," Finfou said in an interview with the 'Sexto Round' channel.

Before Chimaev was confirmed as a title challenger against Du Plessis, Borralho was considered a potential rival for the Chechen. At the time, "The Wolf" even taunted the Brazilian on social media, posting training footage in which he had the upper hand.

Despite this, the coach made a point of contextualizing that the images did not reflect a real fight scenario.

"Caio was there helping out during camp. It wasn't a training session; Caio was there more to help with preparation. When you go like that, you're not 100%; you act based on the situation of your friend's opponent, the one you're helping," concluded the coach.
