Khamzat Shimaev He made his mark with one of the greatest performances by winning the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) at UFC 319 last Saturday (16), in a victory against Dricus Du Plessis. The Swede not only won the title, but also broke records by delivering one of the biggest 'makeouts' ever seen in the organization, including a significant difference in the judges' scores.
Thinking about it, the SUPER FIGHTS separated the greatest performances of fighters in title fights.

Khamzat's dominance of the fight was absolute. He landed 529 strikes throughout the bout, scored 12 takedowns, and maintained an impressive 21 minutes and 40 seconds of ground control—a middleweight record at the time. Du Plessis had no room to impose his game or even threaten the champion.

One of the most notable examples was the victory of Cain Velazquez against Junior Gypsy at UFC 155 on December 29, 2012. The American won by unanimous decision with scores of 50-45, 50-44 and 50-43, with one of the judges scoring two rounds as 10-8.
Cain imposed a strong pace from the start, landing 11 takedowns, and dominating the Octagon for 25 minutes. His strategy of constant pressure neutralized Dos Santos's counterattacking ability, who struggled to respond effectively. By the end of the five rounds, the Brazilian's face was visibly damaged, with swelling and bruising.
Rich Franklin (x David Loiseau) – UFC 58

Another fight that made history due to its disparity was Rich Franklin vs. David Loiseau at UFC 58 in March 2006. The 'Ace' completely dominated the fight and achieved significant margins of 50-43, 50-42 and 50-42. It was the largest difference in scores ever recorded in title fights.
In the fight, he landed 127 significant strikes to Loiseau's just 21, representing a staggering margin of over 106. Furthermore, the then-champion controlled the ground fight for 8 minutes and 37 seconds, while his opponent only managed 15 seconds of dominance.
Franklin worked like a sniper, choosing precisely the moments to attack, using kicks to the body and thigh to wear down his opponent, as well as abusing the clinch and takedowns to maintain absolute control.
Amanda Nunes (x Irene Aldana) – UFC 289
In the female scenario, Amanda nunes said goodbye to MMA in style, by defeating Irene aldana with a unanimous decision of 50-44, 50-44 and 50-43. The 'Lioness' dominated all areas of the fight, connecting precise strikes, applying takedowns and imposing a strong ground game.
The result crowned her victorious career as bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) and featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) champion, who announced her retirement after the fight. She, however, has already signaled her return to face Kayla harrison in early 2026.

Another recent example of expressive technical mastery was the fight between Jamahal hill e Glover Teixeira, at UFC 283The American won with three 50-44, with an improved takedown defense, by stopping 15 of the veteran's 17 attempts, which practically nullified the Brazilian's grappling game.
In the standing fight, Hill landed 232 significant strikes, which remains the record in the light heavyweight division (up to 83,9 lbs.). His sharp jab and high kicks left Glover with cuts and swelling, and he resisted valiantly but was unable to turn the tide.
Jamahal also maintained the fight's pace and demonstrated resilience to withstand the pressure for five rounds, despite suffering a takedown in the final round. The victory confirmed the American as the new light heavyweight champion and retired the Brazilian.
