O UFC 319, held this Saturday (16), was marked by one of the most impressive knockouts of the year. In a fight valid for featherweight (up to 65,7 kg), Lerone murphy landed a spectacular spinning elbow that knocked out Aaron Pico in the first round. But the repercussions of the move went beyond the octagon and into the living room of Israel adesanya.
Watching the event in a relaxed manner, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) had a surprising and genuine reaction. He stood completely still for about eight seconds, mouth agape, before letting out a high-pitched scream and putting his hands to his head in a state of utter shock. The moment went viral on social media.

“What the f***? I was doing something else,” Adesanya commented.
The fighter was distracted talking about his dog at the exact moment of the blow that sealed the fate of Aaron Pico, who ended up knocked out in his UFC debut. Murphy, in turn, qualified for a title fight.
Despite the surprise, Adesanya was full of praise for Murphy. The Nigerian also took the opportunity to reflect on the different levels of competition between events like the UFC and Bellator, Pico's former home.
"I have respect for him. When I was at Embedded, I already knew he was the man," he declared.
